Asana:
Practice Adho Mukha Vrksasana (Handstand). Begin a daily practice of this pose and begin building your capacity to hold it. Many in the community are already holding the pose 1 minute. We are working up to 2:12 this year. Not practicing this pose yet? Not to worry, get more comfortable holding your own weight by turning your downward dog on it’s side! Come into downward dog with your feet at the wall, walk your hands closer to the wall and step one foot up the wall, then the other. Weight baring will help to both strengthen you and open your shoulders. Have fun!
The Planet:
If you haven’t already, find ways to reduce waste. Refrain from plastic water bottle and disposable coffee/tea cups.
Inspiration:
Look for the beauty everywhere! “The more we can see the magic in one thing, a tiny flower, a mango, someone we love, then the more we are able to see the magic in everything and in everyone. Where does the mango stop and the sky begin?” – Joshua Kadison
