Whether you have been given a prescribed medical protocol by a doctor or are trying to make healthy lifestyle changes on your own, the gap between the vision and the "how to" of implementation can sometimes feel insurmountable. That's where I come in. As a Functional Medicine coach, I will partner with you on your journey to make lasting lifestyle changes that will allow you to reach your goals and thrive.
The road to wellness is highly individualized. There is no cookie-cutter approach to health and vitality. And we all know how difficult it is to make lasting lifestyle changes. In one-on-one coaching sessions, we will explore options together and work through the barriers to your success so you can set achievable goals that match your vision. When appropriate, I can educate you and provide you with resources so you can make informed decisions. I will be your support as you make steady progress toward sustainable lifestyle changes that lead you to wellness and vitality.

What is Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine (FM) offers a science based, natural, and client centered approach to healing. It takes into account the genetic and biochemical uniqueness of each individual and searches for the the root cause of an illness or imbalance. Utilizing modifiable life-style changes, functional medicine nourishes the innate healing mechanisms of the body and supports the person to find health and vitality.

About Me and My Health Journey
For years I lived a healthy lifestyle informed by my yoga practice and both Ayurvedic and Chinese Medicine, or so I thought. Then hormonal changes began taking over. I didn't experience the apparent symptoms until my mid to late forties, but looking back, they started much earlier. By age 50, my body had changed quite dramatically. Joint pain, reduced range of motion in my shoulders, migraine headaches, low energy, mood swings, brain fog, and weight gain were just some of the reasons I began a deep dive to figure out what was going on and how to get my health back on track. I knew that something wasn't right and that I didn't have to live like this.
That is where Functional Medicine (FM) came in. I followed the leading FM doctors talking about women's health and hormone changes online, read everything I could, listened to podcasts, and began my journey back to vibrant health.
After following a Functional Medicine routine for just a few months, I began to feel better. And now, after living this lifestyle for a year and a half, I have found my way back to vibrant health. The migraines have ceased. The joint pain cleared, and I can move freely without pain. I am no longer experiencing mood swings or brain fog and am at the weight I want to be. Not only do I feel like me again, but at 52, I feel better than ever. I have the energy I need to live my life fully each day.
I returned to school for a year to become a Functional Medicine Health Coach so I can help you thrive and flourish too. Both men and women of any age can join me on this journey. Whether you have symptoms you can't figure out how to address or want to work preventatively, especially women in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond, or your doctor has recommended some lifestyle changes, I am here for you and want to be your ally. And while there is no quick fix, the journey is worthwhile. It is about getting to the root of the issue and creating a lifestyle that nourishes your body so you can live your best life.
Sadly, the mainstream medical system is sick care, not health care. While it does have its place for many issues, it does little in terms of helping people to thrive and flourish. Often, if our lab results show "normal," our primary care physicians don't have much to offer. We need to be stewards of our own health and advocate for ourselves. The doctor is not always the expert.
Vibrant health is your birthright. For over two decades, I have been passionate about helping people integrate tools for living a vibrant life. And now, I have more tools, skills, and experience to draw on.
