Hip Openers and Twists

Give your spine some much needed movement with this series of twists. Increase your mobility and improve your posture as you move through twisted postures of all types. As the sequence progresses we will stretch the hips in a variety of ways to help gain more access to the spine.

Psoas Refinement

This class will help you refine your understanding of your psoas muscles. These chief hip flexors and postural stabilizers are often weak, short, and tight. Students often get excited about the prospect of stretching the psoas. In this class I hope to help you better understand that these long muscles need to be strong and aligned. When they are aligned their length is restored. Strength and length will help better support you and give you more freedom in your hips and lower back.

Resilient hamstrings are strong and long. Build strength and create length with this practice that targets your hips and hamstrings. Enjoy 60-minutes of movement, then rest in 3 different restorative poses for about 5-minutes each.

Have you been sitting too much? Take 30-minutes out of your day to relieve the stiffness in your hips and lower back. We will get to some of the hard to get to spots and help you get back to your day with a reminder of how to sit and breathe well. Please have a 2-3 blankets or a bolster and a blanket.
