Conscious and strong movement is the foundation for balance and spiritual growth. Come build the fundamentals of strength and alignment for all types of poses and life’s activities. In this series you will get to know your body using the Yoga Tune Up® therapy balls, corrective exercises, and yoga asana. Discover your body’s blind spots, create healthy habits and patterns, and reduce your risk of injury. In the end you will find more ease in the poses that seem difficult or unattainable and have the tools to live better in your body.

Backbends are an essential part of a healthy spine, and a healthy spine is the key to health and longevity. However, backbends must be done with strength, awareness and good alignment

If you find backbends challenging or painful, or wish your backbends were deeper, this workshop is for you! 

Imagine doing a beautiful backbend with healthy alignment, more freedom, and greater ease. In this workshop, we’ll take backbends apart and look at the different components. By understanding the pieces and where you are limited you will be empowered to go deeper in your backbend practice, regardless of your current level of expertise.

There will be Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls for you to borrow or purchase at the studio. This workshop qualifies for the Yoga Tree 500hr and 1000hr Teacher Training Programs.
